The Role
As Portfolio & Value Creation Manager at Ignite Next, you will work directly with our portfolio companies to accelerate their growth and maximize their potential. You'll be the primary point of contact for founders after the program, helping them navigate challenges and unlock opportunities.
This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on support, requiring someone who can understand complex deep tech businesses and provide actionable guidance across business development, fundraising, and operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for portfolio companies post-program
- Develop and implement value creation strategies tailored to each company's needs
- Facilitate introductions to potential customers, partners, and investors
- Track portfolio company progress and identify opportunities for support
- Coordinate with corporate partners on collaboration opportunities
- Organize portfolio events, networking sessions, and knowledge sharing
- Support portfolio companies in fundraising preparation and investor relations
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in venture capital, startup operations, or consulting
- Strong understanding of startup metrics, fundraising, and growth strategies
- Experience working with or advising early-stage technology companies
- Excellent relationship-building and networking skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Based in or willing to relocate to Dresden or Munich, Germany
Nice to Have
- Experience in the deep tech or hardware startup ecosystem
- Background in engineering, science, or technology
- Network within the European VC and corporate innovation landscape
- Experience with M&A or strategic partnerships
