    About Ignite Next

Ignite Next is Europe's scale-up program for deep tech innovation, founded by the former Intel Ignite leadership team and now independently operated. We accelerate early-stage, high-impact startups developing breakthrough technologies in semiconductors, physical AI, advanced computing, and other frontier domains.

Non-dilutive and founder-first, Ignite Next works with leading technology companies—including Infineon, Intel, and Synopsys—to connect startups with world-class technical and business expertise, turning breakthrough innovation into breakout success. We are headquartered in Dresden, Germany, at the heart of Silicon Saxony.

    The Role

We're hiring a Dealflow Intern to help us keep a strong, moving pipeline of deep tech startups. You'll source and screen inbound and sourced companies for stage and programme fit, keep every deal moving through the pipeline, and reach out to founders directly when information is missing so nothing stalls. When a deal needs a technical read, you'll route it to the right mentor or industry expert in our network and capture their feedback.

You'll also own the day-to-day health of our deal pipeline in Attio, keeping records complete and current, and produce the reports and dashboards that let us see the pipeline clearly. Where a manual step is slowing the team down, you'll have room to fix it — whether that's a cleaner CRM workflow or a small automation — but the core of the role is sourcing and moving deals forward, not evaluating the technology yourself.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership from early on. You'll be trusted with live deals, not just admin support.

    What We're Looking For

    • Highly organized and proactive — you keep deals moving, chase down missing information, and don't let anything go stale in the pipeline
    • Naturally digs deep rather than settling for a surface read - separates real signal from noise in a pitch and knows when something doesn't add up and needs a second look.
    • Genuine interest in deep tech — semiconductors, physical AI, quantum computing, and adjacent frontier fields
    • Comfortable reaching out directly to founders and mentors — clear, professional communication that gets a reply
    • Reliable without reminders — CRM hygiene and follow-ups stay current on their own
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, or recently graduated (Business, Engineering, or a related field)
    • Comfortable with productivity and CRM tools (Notion, Attio, Google Workspace) and familiar with Claude or similar AI tools to speed up admin and drafting
    • Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus

    Nice to Have

    • Prior experience sourcing or screening startup deals at a VC fund, corporate VC, or accelerator
    • Experience owning a live CRM pipeline (Attio or equivalent) that someone else depended on
    • Experience building an integration, internal tool, or automation connecting two or more systems in a professional or applied setting

    What to Expect

    • Real ownership of live deals — from first screen through to investment memo
    • Direct exposure to founders, the Dealflow Manager, and the broader deep tech ecosystem
    • Networking opportunities at industry events
    • Compensation: €2,500/month
    • Internship only, minimum 4 months, ideally 6. Based on-site at our Munich location, Türkenstraße 55
